How long we keep data
Besides cookies, the site keeps a few records automatically. None of them stores your IP address, only a one-way hash of it, and each is deleted or stripped on a fixed schedule:
- Site analytics events: kept for 13 months.
- Conversations with the site chat: kept for 90 days. A question the chat could not answer is kept as text only, with no hash, session or browser details, so the club can answer it on the site.
- Views and clicks on sponsor links: kept for 24 months, for the season reports sponsors receive.
- Poll votes: the vote stays so results do not change; its IP hash is removed once the poll has closed and the vote is 30 days old.
- WC26 prediction game: entrants' email addresses and consent are deleted 60 days after the final.
Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe, with the link in every newsletter email.
